Our County
Girlguiding North Yorkshire South has a team of volunteers who work hard to support Guiders through providing information, trainings to learn new skills and also keep skills updated, mentors to support with leadership.
We aim to provide the best possible Guiding and life opportunities for all our members, and are a friendly forward looking county with plenty of enthusiasm.
We are a friendly County and new Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section and Leaders are sure of a warm welcome.
Each year we welcome new students at York St John and the University of York, many of whom have been Guiding in their own Counties and willingly give up their spare time to help with Units in York, we value their support.
Our County President is Helen Porter.
Our County Commissioner is Carole Wilson.
